Palak Agarwal, an 18-year-old student from Shikohabad, Uttar Pradesh, achieved a remarkable feat by scoring a perfect 100 percentile in six out of seven subjects in the CUET UG 2023. The results for the CUET UG 2023 were announced on July 15, highlighting the impressive performances of numerous candidates, including Palak Agarwal. This national-level exam was conducted across the country for admissions to various private and government institutions, as well as central and state universities. According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), over 22,000 students attained a flawless score in the test this year, with only four individuals, including Palak Agarwal, achieving perfection in all six subjects.
In an interview with the media, Palak Agarwal revealed that she had obtained a score of 99 percent in her class 12th board exams and immediately began preparing for the CUET UG 2023. While she primarily relied on the study materials provided by NCERT, she also supplemented her learning by utilizing online resources such as websites and YouTube channels. Palak's dedication and hard work paid off, enabling her to secure perfect scores in English, Economics, Fine Arts/Visual Arts/Commercial Art, Geography/Geology, History, Political Science, and the General Test. She employed various strategies, including frequent practice tests, to enhance her preparation. Palak meticulously organized her study schedule, keeping track of the remaining days before the exam and the subjects that required her focus. Each day, she completed one mock test for each subject, accumulating a total of approximately 100 mock tests in a month. This extensive practice familiarized her with the test format and boosted her confidence.
Palak Agarwal aspires to attend Hindu College at Delhi University and pursue a B.Ed. with honors in political science. She believes that Delhi University will offer her the finest opportunities for academic excellence. Meanwhile, the announcement of the CUET UG 2023 results was delayed by at least two weeks due to an extended exam schedule in some states and issues encountered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) during the compilation of the final answer key. Statistics indicate that out of the 14.99 lakh students who registered for the exam, 11.16 lakh actually appeared for the CUET UG 2023.
