CBSE Alert Schools Against Fake Letters Attributed To It By Wizcorp Edtech To Grab Tenders

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has alerted schools against fake letters attributed to it by Wizcorp Edtech to grab tenders.

The CBSE said that it has not issued any such letters and that Wizcorp Edtech is not its authorized vendor.

The fake letters bear the CBSE logo and are purportedly issued by the board's directorate of information and technology. They offer schools a free trial of Wizcorp's edtech platform and ask them to submit their contact details to avail of the offer.

The CBSE has warned schools against falling for these fake letters and has asked them to report any such letters to the board.

Wizcorp Edtech is a private company that provides edtech solutions to schools. The company has been accused of sending fake letters to schools in the past in order to promote its products.

The CBSE's alert comes after a number of schools reported receiving fake letters from Wizcorp Edtech. The schools said that they were suspicious of the letters because they did not bear the board's official letterhead.

The CBSE has asked schools to be vigilant and to not fall for these fake letters. The board has also asked schools to report any such letters to the board so that action can be taken against the perpetrators.

Here are some tips for schools to spot fake letters from Wizcorp Edtech:

  • Check the letterhead. The letterhead should bear the CBSE's official logo and contact details.
  • Check the sender's name and designation. The sender's name and designation should match the board's official records.
  • Check the content of the letter. The letter should not contain any grammatical errors or typos.
  • If you are still unsure, contact the CBSE directly.

The CBSE has also warned schools against entering into any contracts with Wizcorp Edtech without first verifying the company's credentials.

The board has said that it will take action against any schools that are found to be in violation of its guidelines.
