NEET SS 2023 Aspirants in Kashmir Distressed over No Exam Centre in Valley

NEET SS 2023 aspirants in Kashmir are distressed over the absence of an exam centre in the Valley. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Super Specialty (NEET-SS) is a national-level examination for admission to super specialty courses in medical colleges. The exam is scheduled to be held on September 9-10, 2023.

Aspirants from Kashmir have been demanding that the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) set up an exam centre in the Valley. They argue that traveling to other states to appear for the exam would be a financial and logistical burden. They also point out that the frequent closures of the Jammu-Srinagar national highway due to inclement weather could make it difficult for them to travel to other states.

The NBEMS has not yet responded to the demands of the aspirants. However, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has said that it is in talks with the NBEMS to set up an exam centre in the Valley.

The absence of an exam centre in Kashmir is a major inconvenience for the aspirants. It is also unfair to them, as they are being denied the opportunity to appear for the exam on an equal footing with other aspirants from across the country.

We hope that the NBEMS and the Jammu and Kashmir administration will be able to resolve this issue and set up an exam centre in the Valley. This would be a fair and just solution for the aspirants.
